WorkShutter

Switching evaluation guide

Before you switch from CompanyCam.

Test one project, check your originals, and make sure the office can do its work before moving a full archive.

This is a planning checklist, not a verified automated migration service. CompanyCam describes downloading photos before account closure in its official plan guidance. Check its current export options against your account.

1. List the things your team relies on.

Count everyone who needs access. Note your current bill, retained storage, devices, offline needs, reports and integrations. Compare those requirements with WorkShutter’s current availability.

2. Make a small, authorized sample.

Choose one representative project and obtain files using your current service’s supported export process. Keep an unchanged copy. Record file counts, sizes and the project organization you expect to preserve.

3. Check more than the pictures.

Open the original photos and play the videos. Check timestamps, locations and filenames where they matter. Comments, tags, annotations and project structure may not travel with downloaded files. Do not assume they will be imported.

4. Walk through the office workflow.

Once approved for WorkShutter access, create a sample project and upload the files. Keep the browser tab open until uploads finish. Have an authorized colleague review them, leave a comment and download an original. Verify the downloaded file against the source.

5. Decide from the results.

Resolve missing information and device limitations before moving more jobs. Keep your existing records accessible while testing. Review your current contract and export access before making any cancellation decision.
